Welcome To The Lords of Brain

Or as we like to call it: LoB.

I’m not good with Mission Statements or anything that pins me down to a specific course of action or that sets some standard for “reasonable” behavior. But sometimes you have to step outside your comfort zone.

As my Uncle Jebediah use to say, “Boy you don’t whip out that tallywacker every now and again ain’t nobody gonna know you got one.”

Turned out Jebediah just, in general, had an unnatural interest in boys and their tallywackers, but in spite of his rampaging pedophilia the perverted bastard had a good point. Well, not literally.

Anyway. Here’s the tallywacker:

Ultimately what LoB is about is the uniting together of smart, creative people (Sure. Why not?) who engage with the Internet in an attempt to create original communication that is about something and not just the posting of links to something. Sure, we’re going to post links, but the links will serve as part of the communication. A specific element of the transmission which conveys added meaning and is not just a tool for distraction.

What that means in a practical sense is that LoB will be a gathering point for works of fiction, commentary, reviews, recipes, essays, interviews, and confessions to various crimes and misdemeanors. There will also be the occasional pretty picture that will say a thousand words about some thing or other.

To be perfectly honest LoB will most often, especially at first, be articles about books, movies, comics, and various nerdocities and geekedness. But that’s only because we’re cool kids in fashionable clothes.
